Larnach helps Saints to 11-3 victory over Indianapolis after surprise demotion There has been widespread speculation swirling around the Minnesota Twins since they sent Trevor Larnach to the St. Paul Saints over the weekend that the 26-year-old outfielder was not happy with the demotion.Larnach confirmed that speculation on Tuesday night after making his season debut with the Saints at CHS Field, expressing disappointment while also acknowledging that he was surprised by the move.“Absolutely, I was surprised,” he said. “I had my struggles there towards the end, but that’s the game. Especially the first month of the season. It’s cold, the ball doesn’t go out, some results aren’t what they should be. There’s not much I can do about it.“A lot of my family was pretty upset. At the end of the day, I can’t control what happened; that’s the route they wanted to take.”Larnach was hitting .221 with three home runs and a team-leading 19 RBIs when he was sent down. Twins, Carlos Correa struggle at the plate in 6-1 loss to Padres Prior to Tuesday’s game against the San Diego Padres, Twins shortstop Carlos Correa spoke of the adjustments he made on the recent road trip and how he was feeling better and more confident at the plate. The results still weren’t what Minnesota’s veteran leader would hope for, as he hit .160 during the six-game trip through Chicago and Cleveland. But Correa felt better with his swing, making adjustments to get his feet grounded so he’s on time to the pitch, and he hit a pair of home runs in the six games and made more hard contact. As the Twins fell 6-1 to San Diego on Tuesday, with the offense struggling again, Correa was at the forefront. He was hitless in five at-bats, struck out twice, and left six runners on base. And even the home crowd at Target Field started to voice their displeasure with Correa, the star who signed a three-year, $105.3 million contract in the offseason.“Yeah absolutely,” Correa said when asked if he can hear the fans. “I’d boo myself, too.
